Texas scored 14 points in 56 seconds to go up 28-10 with 8:26 remaining in the first half and all but break the Red Raiders' spirit. Curtis Brown recovered a pooched onside kick for the Longhorns at the Tech 32. Three plays later, Jamaal Charles rambled 24 yards for a UT touchdown and a 28-10 lead. The Red Raiders, though, marched 63 yards in five plays, with Graham Harrell finding Edward Britton for a 22-yard score to cut the UT lead to 28-17.
Now, if Tech can only stop Charles, they may have a shot. At the 8:26 mark of the second period, Charles already has 159 yards rushing on 16 carries.
