The Mavericks men's basketball team, who has started the season 8-0, is one of 15 undefeated teams in Division I after defeating Wichita State on Friday.
UTA received 318 points in the Mid-Major Men's Basketball Poll from Collegeinsider.com to rank No. 14, up five places from last week.
The ranking is the highest the Mavericks have received in the program's history.
