The score was 80-58 before the visiting Longhorns made it a bit more respectable. The loss drops Texas to 3-2 in the Big 12, two full games behind surprising new leader Kansas State (5-0), which upset No. 2 Kansas in Manhattan. A&M evens its conference record at 3-3. Josh Carter led A&M with 19 points. Texas point guard D.J. Augustin was 6-of-18 shooting.
