Before the season began, TCU players and coaches said they might revert to more of a small-ball approach.
Against Dallas Baptist, there were positive signs that the Horned Frogs are adapting to this style of play. TCU executed three bunts against the Patriots, including two perfect ones down the first and third base lines. Coach Jim Schlossnagle said it's a process.
"Saying you want to be a small ball team and then doing it and actually being good at it ..those are three different things,'' he said. "Tonight we were good at it, with the exception of a slash that was popped up."
