Anyone who was at Lupton Stadium today may not want to miss out on Sunday.
A near benches clearing brawl almost took place in Game 2 between TCU and Ole Miss, and some Frogs admitted it gave the team a much-needed jolt.
"We got a little fire in us,'' pitcher Andrew Cashner said. "There probably wasn't any reason for (Evan Button) to get tossed, but I mean, we're going to egg it on. We came after them after that and tried to keep putting more runs on them."
Shortstop Bryan Kervin agreed that it fired up TCU, adding that "we rallied around that and it just got the energy up in the dugout."
Ben Carruthers said he tried to stay out of it, but predicted there may be plenty of trash-talking going on. And the fans may get after it like they did Saturday, too.
"That's what makes baseball so fun is whenever they bring their crowd and our crowd gets into it too,'' he said. "It's good that our fans are starting to jaw a little bit, and get after their players, cause that makes us play a little better too.'' -Trae Thompson
