You normally don't get space in the newspaper to point out positives you see in a thumpin'. But that's the great thing about blogs. A few things I've noticed about UTA...
* Ryan Martin, RHP - The Friendswood native has allowed one hit, and seems quite poised after relieving Nathan Long.
* Danny Slinkman, 1B (pictured) - The former Martin Warrior has two singles, and gives the Mavs some pop in the heart of the lineup. Slinkman leads the team with a .417 average entering the weekend.
* The Mavs left the bases loaded last inning, but you've got to like that they tried to muster something and keep fighting, despite being down. -Trae
