St. Mary's still appears to be in the NCAA Tournament, according to Bracketologists, even after its Monday morning CDT double-overtime defeat to the University of San Diego. However ... if San Diego upsets Gonzaga tonight in the West Coast Conference tournament final, what then? Would the WCC get three teams in?
William and Mary plays George Mason, the 2006 NCAA Tournament Final Four Cinderella, tonight in the Colonial Athletic Association tournament final. Bill and Mary (always liked Bill, couldn't stand Mary) upset Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday. Is VCU, the team that as an 11 seed knocked out Duke last year, still in the tournament? ESPN's Joe Lunardi says no. VCU is one of his Last Four Out.
Maryland is not in. In fact, Lunardi only has four ACC teams -- North Carolina, Duke, Clemson and Miami, Fla., which lost to Florida State this weekend.
If you want to root against a team making the Dance, how about Oregon, for the way its fans treated UCLA's Kevin Love?
Lunardi, by the way, has six Big 12 teams in his bracket, as he sticks with Texas A&M, which beat Ohio State, which Lunardi has as one of the Last Four In.
