A Big 12 team lost for the first time in the NCAA women's tournament, but Oklahoma State held off Florida State for a split in the early games. Third-seeded Baylor was surprised by No. 6 Pittsburgh 67-59 despite Rachel Allison's 14 points and nine rebounds. Oklahoma State's Andrea Riley hit a free throw with 0.7 seconds left to help the Cowgirls avoid an upset loss as they got past 11th-seeded Florida State 73-72. Elsewhere, George Washington rallied in the second half to overcome a double-figure deficit and beat third-seeded California 55-53. In other games involving Big 12 teams tonight, Iowa State challenges No. 2 seed Rutgers and Texas A&M takes on Hartford.
