With 3 1/2 minutes left in the South Region second-round game Sunday, Memphis' Joey Dorsey was fouled, victim of the Hack-a-Shaq move by Mississippi State coach Rick Stansbury. Dorsey is a 38 percent free-throw shooter for the season.
As he stood on the line, sunlight suddenly hit him from an outside window at Alltel Arena. He complained, but shot the free throw, and made it. The window issue was momentarily fixed, and Dorsey's second free throw? No good.
A few minutes later Dorsey apparently suffered a leg cramp, and CBS' camera kept its camera trained on him ... from behind ... as he bent over.
So viewers saw the sun and then the ...
No matter, Dorsey had a heavenly game: 13 points, 12 rebounds, six blocks.
And 1-of-5 from the foul line. Even though he saw the light.
