UTA men to face Sam Houston

The UT-Arlington men face Sam Houston State at 6 p.m. Friday in the Southland Conference men's tournament semifinals in Katy. Sam Houston slipped past McNeese State 64-62 in overtime.

UTA lost to Sam Houston twice in the regular season, 79-65 and 73-57. But then the Mavericks had lost to Lamar 80-66 in Beaumont a few weeks ago and still pulled the upset Thursday.
