The Texas A&M Aggies are losing their grip on earning one of the 16 regional seeds. The Aggies lost their opener in the Big 12 tournament to a woeful Oklahoma team and have now lost seven in a row. Granted, the Sooners are playing for their postseason lives, but the Aggies are playing to get some momentum. A&M has already lost a top-eight national seed most likely.
Aggies coach Rob Childress better fix things quick. His team has lost its edge and status as an Omaha contender. But in college baseball things can change in a hurry. Look at Rice. The red-hot Owls went two-and-out in the Conference USA tournament. Rice had won 10 in a row and 22 of its last 23 entering the tourney.
