The speculation about Baylor's starting quarterback just ended. Kirby Freeman, a transfer from Miami who played his high school football at Brownwood, took the field with the starting offense and completed his first pass -- for two yards.
The Bears' initial drive went three-and-out, with Freeman completing 1-of-3 passes before Derek Epperson unleashed a 14-yard punt that put Wake Forest in immediate scoring position on the Demon Deacons' initial possession.
