About seven minutes from kickoff of Tulsa at North Texas. A few pregame items:
_ Today, UNT is rolling out the same conceptual stadium design shot for a story in today's Star-Telegram about a potential student referendum in October. That vote will be on a fee to help fund a planned $60 million stadium. The athletic department kicks off its PR efforts today. Pictures of a computer-generated stadium model have been transferred onto walking mats at the top of each concourse with the words, "The Time is Now." The scale model, shot for today's story, is at a booth somewhere. It's not the final concept, but one the architects of record, HKS, are giving some consideration.
_ I'm told safety Kartey Agbottah didn't practice this week with an injury, so UNT's secondary just got younger. Either true freshman John Shorter or true freshman Darien Williams will start opposite junior Kylee Hill. True Freshman Royce Hill already starts at one cornerback, so this is a real trial by fire.
_ If you see receiver B.J. Lewis at safety at some point, don't be surprised. He's apparently been moved from offense to defense. Whether or not he plays tonight, who knows.
