Texas quarterback Colt McCoy shared Big 12 offensive player of the week honors with Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman, league officials announced today.
McCoy, a junior, passed for 222 yards, rushed for 103 and factored into four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) in the Longhorns' season-opening, 52-10 victory over Florida Atlantic. Freeman accounted for five TDs (three passing, two rushing) in a 45-6 victory over North Texas.
Othe players receiving the Big 12's weekly honors were Missouri defensive end Stryker Sulak (defensive) and Missouri WR-KR Jeremy Maclin (special teams).
