The Mean Green men's basketball team opens the 2008-09 season at home against Division II Cameron in its former venue, the Snake Pit, on Nov. 14. UNT’s regular arena, the Super Pit, is booked that day for another event. UNT played at the Snake Pit from 1950-73.
UNT will use the Super Pit the rest of the season, including Dec. 6 against New Mexico State. UNT has road games at Oklahoma State (Nov. 17), Indiana State (Nov. 23) and Houston (Nov. 29). Sun Belt Conference play starts Dec. 18 at Louisiana-Lafayette.
