UNT women to play 18 road games

Under new coach Shanice Stephens, North Texas opens the 2008-2009 season at Marshall on Nov. 17, one of five road games to start the season.

UNT’s first home game is Dec. 2 against Houston. UNT’s 18 road games include New Mexico on Dec. 9, SMU on Dec. 14 and Oklahoma State on Dec. 28. Sun Belt Conference play starts Dec. 18 at Louisiana-Lafayette. Texas-San Antonio (Nov. 29 on road), New Mexico, SMU, Oklahoma State and Western Kentucky (Jan. 31 on road) all made last season’s NCAA Tournament.
