Texas Longhorns quarterback Colt McCoy, the runaway favorite so far for the Heisman Trophy and projected as a first-round NFL draft choice, told the Sporting News this week, "I'm going to play here for four years." Read the story here. ESPN.com reported the story Wednesday night.
His Oklahoma counterpart, Sam Bradford, projected by an ESPN draft guru as the No. 1 pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, was quoted by the Tulsa World as saying about his situation Tuesday, “I don’t think that makes a lot of sense, considering I’m going to be in school next year.”
McCoy, a junior, and Bradford, a sophomore, both redshirted as freshmen, so both are eligible for the 2009 draft.
