Running back Shannon Woods bolted into the end zone from the 4 to help Texas Tech stretch its lead over Nebraska to 17-7.The scoring drive was highlighted by a 56-yard pass from Graham Harrell to Edward Britton
Woods' score came with 1:18 left before halftime and climaxed a four-play, 70-yard drive. The drive started after the Red Raiders stopped the Huskers on a fourth-and-one play from the Tech 30.
After the Red Raider TD, Nebraska's Niles Paul took the kickoff 69 yards to the Tech 31. But after reaching the Red Raider 24, the Huskers were flagged for consecutive holding penalties, and Alex Henery's 53-yard field goal came up short at the halftime clock expired.
