Texas A&M's fourth turnover of the first half gave OSU a 28-7 halftime advantage, and it was almost a carbon copy of the Cowboys' earlier defensive touchdown. This time Jerrod Johnson's pass went through the hands of tailback Bradley Stephens and into the hands of OSU's Patrick Lavine, who returned it 22 yards for a score with 1:51 left in the half. The Aggies committed a fifth turnover on their next possession when Johnson was sacked from behind and fumbled, but OSU missed a 50-yard field goal on the final play of the half.
