Texas A&M finally got on the scoreboard, thanks to a leaping 51-yard catch by tailback Mike Goodson down to the Baylor 1-yard line. It took the Aggies three plays to get the final yard, with Jorvorskie Lane busting over the left side for a 1-yard touchdown with 4:07 left in the second quarter. Randy Bullock's extra point pulled A&M within six at 13-7.
