It's no surprise that Phillip Fulmer will be leaving Tennessee.
Fulmer plans to step down as the Volunteers head coach at the end of the year, according to ESPN.com.
Fulmer has an amazing legacy and is a lock for the College Football Hall of Fame. He currently has a 150-51 record, with 2 SEC titles and a national championship in 1998.
The Volunteers were among the elite for many years, but have recently slipped back in the pack within their conference behind Florida, Georgia and LSU. Tennessee is 3-6 this year, and 1-5 in conference. This still remains one of the elite programs in America, with a great fanbase, great stadium and proud history. If they get the right coach, it will be just a matter of time before Rocky Top is rocking again.
