The Texas Longhorns endured a scoring drought of roughly six minutes in the first half as host visiting Kansas State took a 30-16 lead. After a timeout by Texas coach Rick Barnes, visibly upset, the Longhorns quickly scored on a dunk with 1:35 left in the first half.
Texas closed to within 32-22 at halftime after Damion James hit one of two free throws.
