McCoy selected as Griffin Award winner

Texas quarterback Colt McCoy was selected today as recipient of the 2008 Archie Griffin Award, honoring the nation’s most valuable college football player. The award is presented annually by the Touchdown Club of Columbus, Ohio.

McCoy, the 2008 Walter Camp Football Foundation Player of the Year, also was runner-up for the 2008 Heisman Trophy.
