The Champaign (Ill.) News-Gazette on its website covering the University of Illinois Illini sports -- www.illinihq.com -- is reporting that a source close to the Illini program said TCU offensive coordinator Mike Schultz will be named the school's new offensive coordinator early next week.
Schultz had no comment on the report.
Schultz, who also coaches the quarterbacks at TCU, is in his 11th year at the school. He has been the offensive coordinator the last two seasons. Before that, Schultz was TCU's running backs coach. He's the longest tenured full-time assistant coach for the Horned Frogs.
