TCU junior Zvonko Buljan earned Mountain West Conference Player of the Week, the league announced today. It's the first honor of the year for any TCU player.
Buljan and the Frogs beat both Texas Tech and league-favorite UNLV this week. Buljan scored 12 points and had nine rebounds against the Red Raiders, and he finished with 20 points and 13 rebounds -- both career highs -- against UNLV.
Buljan averaged 16.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 2.0 assists during those two games.
"I'm excited for him," TCU coach Jim Christian said. "He's worked extremely hard, and I think he's improving. He's a big piece of what we're doing here and his versatility is important for us."
