Texas A&M is ranked No. 1 in Baseball America’s preseason poll for the first time in the program’s history. The Aggies’ highest previous ranking was sixth in 1988.
Texas A&M, the defending Big 12 regular-season champion, is joined in the preseason top 10 by three other league teams: No. 4 Texas, No. 8 Baylor and No. 10 Missouri.
