Oklahoma center Blake Griffin remains questionable for Saturday’s game at Texas Tech, coach Jeff Capel said Thursday.
Capel said Griffin suited up for practice Wednesday, but all he did was shoot and that was all he was expected to do. Capel said a decision on Griffin’s status would be made Friday before the Sooners leave for Lubbock, but he said Griffin was still having some headaches.
Griffin suffered a concussion in the first half of Saturday’s loss at Texas. He was visibly affected by light and noise sensitivity while sitting on the bench Monday night in a home loss to Kansas.
The American Academy of Neurology recommends athletes who have suffered concussions not be exposed to contact until their symptoms have disappeared completely for at least a week.
