Josh Carter scored a career-high 29 points, hitting 7 of his 10 3-point attempts to lead Texas A&M to a 87-69 win over Iowa State at Reed Arena. The Aggies were 12-for-27 (44.4 percent) from beyond the arc as a team on the way to their fourth consecutive victory.
Chinemelu Elonu added 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting, most of that coming on slam dunks, and he had 10 rebounds. Craig Brackins scored 20 points for Iowa State but had just two in the second half.
The win continues to boost Texas A&M's NCAA Tournament stock. The Aggies (21-8, 7-7 Big 12) are ranked 35th in the latest CBSSports.com RPI rankings.
