Texas scored 55 points in a three-point loss to Nebraska on Saturday. Against uptempo Oklahoma State on Tuesday night, the Longhorns almost had that many at halftime.
Points came like hard rain for UT in a 99-74 victory that broke the Longhorns' three-game losing streak. Offensive balance was noteworthy for a team that lost Saturday as A.J. Abrams tried to shoot a 3-pointer late with three Cornhuskers on him.
On Tuesday, Abrams was 4-of-5 from 3-point range for 20 points, Damion James had 19, Connor Atchley 14 on 4-of-6 shooting, Gary Johnson 12 and Dogus Balbay 10, his first double-digit game as a Longhorn. Balbay also had seven assists.
Texas led 52-37 at halftime and the lead mushroomed in the second half.
James Anderson of OSU led all scorers with 35 points, and Byron Eaton had 18.
The Longhorns move to 6-4 in the Big 12, 17-7 overall.
