Rivals.com reports that Texas Tech running backs coach Seth Littrell is leaving the Red Raiders to take a job on the staff of Arizona coach Mike Stoops. Rivals says Littrell was instrumental in the recruiting of two of Tech's four-star (out of five) recruits, running back Eric Stephens from Mansfield Timberview and defensive tackle Pearlie Graves from Tulsa East Central.
Littrell played at Oklahoma under Bob Stoops, Mike Stoops' brother, including a season when Tech coach Mike Leach was OU's offensive coordinator.
Rivals reports that "sources close to the situation indicate that the contract situation between Leach and the university played a role in Littrell's decision."
UPDATE: From Redraiders.com (Lubbock Avalanche-Journal): "Tom Duddleston, a spokesman for Arizona athletics, said the job opening was posted on Wednesday, and per Arizona state law, at least 10 days must pass before an official hire is made. Duddleston said Littrell is scheduled for an official interview with Arizona on Tuesday."
