Texas' leading scorer A.J. Abrams was unavailable for interviews Sunday afternoon and the explanation given was that he was being evaluated by the team's training/medical staff.
Abrams was also not available after Saturday's loss at Oklahoma State with the explanation that he was "not feeling well," after apparently taking a blow to the head near the Longhorns' bench late in the game. He stopped as the play continued, shook his head back and forth as if to clear it, but did not leave the game.
After, Abrams left the visitors' dressing room without aid, carrying his own bag.
Forward Gary Johnson unexpectedly missed his second consecutive game with a sprained left ankle and is officially listed "day to day." The Longhorns (19-9, 8-6) remain in a battle for the fourth first-round bye in the Big 12 tournament with games Monday night against Baylor (17-11, 5-9) and at Kansas (24-5, 13-1) Saturday.--Mike Jones.
