The UT Arlington men's basketball team, bidding for its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance, which is the first year that has been said, will begin defense of its Southland Conference Tournament title against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 8:30 p.m. Thursday in Katy.
UTA lost to A&M-CC on Saturday.
The Mavericks enter the tournament as the fifth seed and should they advance would play the winner of the Stephen F. Austin-Southeastern Louisiana game at Friday 8:30 p.m. (Southland Conference TV Network and ESPN360.com)
The championship game is scheduled for noon March 15 (ESPN2, ESPN360.com).
