Left-hander pitcher Matt Purke will play for TCU next spring, after he and the Texas Rangers were unable to agree on a deal. Purke, from Klein High School, was the 14th player selected in June's MLB draft.
"We are obviously very excited to have Matt choose TCU," Horned Frog coach Jim Schlossnagle said. "I know that he was very torn over this decision and very strong, positive feelings for the Rangers organization."
