Former Baylor standout guard Curtis Jerrells signed a partially guaranteed contract Wednesday with the San Antonio Spurs and was added to the team's training camp roster.
This past season Jerrells averaged 16.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.9 assists while leading Baylor to the NIT championship game. He also was named to the NIT All-Tournament team and was selected third-team all-Big 12.
With the Spurs, the 6-1, 200-pound Jerrells will have his work cut out for himself as he became the team's 16th player under contract. NBA teams can carry a maximum of 15 players on their roster once the regular season starts.
