Officials at the AT&T Cotton Bowl announced today that they have extended their partnership with Fox Sports through the 2014 season, with the 2011 game set for a prime-time kickoff to celebrate the contest’s 75th anniversary.
The 2011 game will be played on Friday, Jan. 7 and will kick off at 7 p.m. at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
The 2010 Cotton Bowl, set for Jan. 2, will mark the game’s first appearance in Arlington after moving from Dallas. Kickoff for the 2010 Cotton Bowl will be 1 p.m., with a Big 12 team matched against a Southeastern Conference opponent.
Officials said negotiations are ongoing to keep the Big 12-SEC matchup in place throughout the life of the contract extension with Fox. Dates and times for the 2012, 2013 and 2014 Cotton Bowls have not been finalized.
