ARLINGTON _ Quarterback Blake Szymanski scored on a 1-yard sneak and Dary Stone booted a 25-yard field goal as Baylor took a 10-3 halftime lead over Texas Tech today before 71,964 at Cowboys Stadium.
Tech got an 18-yard field goal from Weatherford-ex Matt Williams with four seconds left before halftime for its only points.
Szymanski, a surprise starter, was very effecitve in the first half. Meanwhile, Tech quarterback Taylor Potts was all over the map, including throwing a costly interception by Antonio Johnson, who returned it 54 yards to the Red Raider 38.
