Officials at the BCS launched a Facebook page today dedicated to college football's unique bowl system. They also encourage fan feedback, which could prove interesting.
According to the official release, the page -- dubbed "Inside the BCS" -- went live at 9 a.m. today and will include regular updates from Bill Hancock, the BCS executive director. Hancock vows to answer fan mail "frequently."
Other features will include the BCS standings, news articles, commentary, statistical data and regular updates from BCS officials about college football.
Fans can access the page two different ways. They can go to the BCS webite, www.bcsfootball.org, and click on the Facebook icon. Or they can go to Facebook and log in "Inside the BCS" into the search bar.
In the official release, Hancock issued a statement about the purpose of the Facebook page. He said: “People love talking about college football because it is so much fun, and there is a constant conversation online. We wanted to join that conversation to give fans more of what they’re looking for: commentary, information, updates, statistics, and a look inside the BCS ... I invite all college football fans to visit the page."
