Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops finally shot down the persistent reports that he would succeed Charlie Weis at Notre Dame in several different ways Monday afternoon.
For those who still want to pick at it, here's what Stoops said just about in full during a conference call with regular beat writers to purportedly wrap up the regular season.
"What I am saying is I intend being at
"If Joe C (athletic director Joe Castiglione) and President Boren will have me, that’s what I intend to do. That's where it’s at.
"What I'm saying is I couldn’t me more happy and pleased with what we’re doing here. I'm not confirming or denying anything about Notre Dame or any other job. My point is I'm doing what I love doing right now."
Is that good enough?--Mike Jones.
