Defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, one of the nation's top high school football prospects, announced this morning that he will sign with Texas.
Jeffcoat, son of former Dallas Cowboys' defensive end Jim Jeffcoat, announced his commitment this morning at Plano West High School. Jeffcoat picked the Longhorns over a group of finalists that also included Oklahoma, Houston and Arizona State.
Jeffcoat (6-5, 230 pounds) is a member of the Star-Telegam's Elite Eleven recruits within the state of Texas, as well as a National Top 100 and State Top 100 prospect.
