Texas defensive coordinator Will Muschamp apparently is out of the mix as a candidate to be the next coach at Tennessee. John Bianco, Texas' assistant athletic director/media relations, said late tonight that Muschamp was in Austin all day, despite internet reports to the contrary. Through school officials, Muschamp said: "I'm happy at Texas and plan to be there for a long time."
