Count Texas Tech coach Pat Knight among those who are overly impressed with the terrific road record Kansas State has pieced together.
The sixth-ranked Wildcats are 22-4 overall, and actually have a better road record (5-1) in the Big 12 than home record (4-2).
"All the good teams win on the road, so to me it just proves they're a very good team,'' Knight said. "Not just in our league, but overall in the full scheme of things when it comes to tournament time, it is hard to win on the road.
"But it is especially hard to win on the road in this league. They've got good leadership; they've got to be mentally tough to be able to (win on the road).''
Knight's Red Raiders (16-10 overall, 4-8 in conference play) will try to halt K-State's consecutive Big 12 road winning streak at five games when Tech entertains the Wildcats at 7 tonight at the United Spirit Arena.
K-State's only Big 12 loss on the road occurred when it opened the season with a 74-68 setback at Missouri.
