Texas freshman guard Avery Bradley as expected announced Thursday that he will submit his name for the NBA draft, but will not hire an agent--meaning he could return for his sophomore season if he doesn't hear what he wants to hear from prospective employers.
“I will continue to go to class and complete the spring semester here at
Big 12 coaches voted Bradley a spot on the all-rookie team and honorable mention all-conference. He was a consensus member of various media all-freshmen teams as well. He was the Longhorn's second-leading scorer (11.6 ppg) as well as in steals (44) and minutes played (29.5 mpg).
The 2010 NBA Draft is June 24. Bradley has until May 8 to decide whether or not to withdraw his name.
Some analysts have projected Bradley might be a late first-round pick.--Mike Jones.
