Other than the fact the Bruins are an average Pac 10 team and playing a top-10 team that features a talented defense at home, the greatest reason the Bettin' Neuheisel's will lose on Saturday night in Austin is they don't appear to want to keep the ball very much.
In just three games, the Bruins have committed 10 turnovers. But they don't discriminate in their giveaway distribution: five interceptions, five fumbles. They are minus-five in turnover ratio. They have fumbled eight times.
As my mother once said, "Son, you can't turn it over and expect to win the football game. You just can't." UT's defense has forced five fumbles, recovered two, and intercepted three passes. Because I have a healthy and respectful man-crush on Horns future first round pick DE Jackson Jeffcoat, I expect him to force two fumbles and record two sacks against the Bruins.
