Just the mere thought of playing Texas has Texas Tech defensive end/linebacker Brian Duncan ready for some football.
"Every time you get a chance to play Texas or any other team it's really, really exciting,'' Duncan said. "It gets your adrenalin pumping every week, so every week the adrenalin is pumping because I love football and I love to play it. I am pumped and I'm fired up and I'm ready to go.''
Sixrh-ranked Texas (2-0) plays at unranked Tech (2-0) at 7 p.m. Saturday with the winner getting a huge leg up on the Big 12 South race.
A last-second 39-33 Tech victory over Texas two years ago helped the Red Raiders finish the season in a three-way tie with Oklahoma and the Longhorns for the Big 12 South title.
"I remember everything about that game,'' Duncan said. "I remember the excitement of that last drive, I remember the adrenalin, I rememeber everybody rushing the field and it was crowded.
"It was just a really good feeling because we played as a team and we fought.''
