Driving on I-35 South today headed to College Station and I am reminded that when you are in this area be sure to listen to the great David Smoak on 1660 AM here in Waco. Smoaky had been a long time voice of sports in East Texas out of Tyler for forever, but took his act to central Texas. His show runs from 3 to 6 weekdays.

** UPDATE: Listening to the show driving through Waco today and apparently Smoaky is pretty sick. Like, in the hospital sick. The hosts of the show said Smoaky is recovering from what they said is pneumonia, and that he should be back next week. Get well, Smoaky.
