Athletic departments hate the 11 a.m. starts because it means fans have a harder time getting to the games from longer distances. Or the 11 a.m. start means they just may not come. Baylor announced a crowd of a little more than 35,000 against Kansas on Saturday; made no sense. The Bears are pretty good. It was a beautiful day in Waco. Bottom line - if that games starts at 2:30 or 6 there are more people there.
With that, the Big 12 announced today that Texas A&M will host Missouri at 11 a.m. on Oct. 16. That's actually a much bigger game for both teams.
On the same day, Texas will play at Nebraska at 2:30 p.m.
