I wish I could inform you that Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino went Barry Switzer on his next opponent, Texas A&M. Sadly, however, the Hawgs coach used his NFL training to say very little about the Aggies. You be the judge. Here is what he had to say today at his press conference in Hogville:
"We understand that Texas A&M is a very good team. They have the ability to throw the ball and run it. Their quarterback has the ability to move around, make throws on the run and run with the ball. He gives you a lot of things you have to prepare for; we’re looking forward to our preparation for that. Defensively, they run the 3-4 package, run a lot of blitzes and try to out man you in a number of situations, so we are going to have to a really good job of preparing for their defensive philosophy. I’m happy with where we are and look forward to the week."
Impressive. Coach Petrino managed to throw out six sentences of just about nothing.
His Hogs play the Aggies at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday at JerryWorld.

"Six sentences of just about nothing" pretty much sums up Aggie football the past few years.
What else could Petrino have said without making up stuff? After all, he's a coach, not a journalist.
