North Texas has fired football coach Todd Dodge. A press conference has been called for 3:30 p.m. today with UNT director of atletics Rick Villarreal.
Hiring Dodge away from Southlake Carroll back in 2007 was a bold move, but one that did not work out. Dodge put up a career record of 6-37.
Ironically, without Dodge UNT probably would not have been able to raise the funds to build its new football stadium, which is scheduled to open next season.
