TCU coach Gary Patterson does his best to not pay attention to the rankings and standings and this and that. His wife, however, helps.
So when GP heard that TCU was No. 4 in the nation and received a first-place vote, she mentioned it to him.
"I'm really glad for my kids. I'm glad for our fans. That's a sign of respect of where we've gotten to and what we're trying to become as a program," GP said today. "It makes me feel good inside that there is someone out there that thinks we have that kind of program. That's what we've been working towards. We're tyring to have a team of quality enough to play for a national championship."
