Texas defensive backs coach Jerry Gray said today that he plans to remain in his post with the Longhorns rather than pursue an opportunity to be the defensive coordinator of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. Gray, who joined the Texas staff in January, made his vow to stay during a Longhorn Club meeting in Austin.
Titans’ coach Mike Munchak, one of Gray’s former NFL teammates, told The Tennessean earlier this week that he intended to interview Gray for the team’s vacancy at defensive coordinator.
